What happens on the day of the wedding?
In short, my goal is to blend in seamlessly. I want you to enjoy every moment without worrying about the photography. I’ll guide you through key moments—like portraits and group shots—while ensuring everything feels natural and relaxed. For candid shots, I’ll be in the background, capturing real moments without you even noticing.

We don’t want to spend hours taking photos. Will it take up too much of our time?
I don’t want you to spend ages away from your guests. We’ll plan ahead so that you can have a balance of natural portraits and time to enjoy your day with your loved ones. I aim to keep things quick, relaxed, and efficient, without interrupting the flow of your celebration. You’ll have enough time and still get beautiful photos that reflect all the key moments and the day itself perfectly.

How do you get those natural, candid shots without us feeling awkward?
All couples have doubts when it comes to their personal photos, so I’m all about making you feel comfortable. I’ll help you with relaxed, guided moments that you can have fun with, but most of the time, you won’t even notice me. I love to document meaningful glimpses as they happen, the laughter, the love, and the small details in between. You’ll look and feel at ease—you enjoy the moment, and I’ll capture it!

How do you manage group photos and family portraits?
Group photos are important, but I keep them organised and stress-free. We create a list of the key shots you want and also assign a couple of people to help me from your group. That will help guide everyone into place quickly. With a little pre-planning, we can get beautiful family portraits without feeling rushed or distracted from the celebrations. The sweet spot for group photos is between 10-15 with up to 8 guests at your sides. It can be very hot and it can take 2-3 minutes to set up each shot, so let’s get this bit out of the way as quickly as possible whilst still achieving lovely photos.

Will you capture all the special moments during the day?
Absolutely. I’m there to document all the important moments. You won’t have to worry about missing a thing as we will have had a chat about what moments and people should feature the most. All of those personal touches and important details that you’ve spent time planning into your day will be covered.

After Your Wedding – What Happens Next

When will we receive our photos?
You can expect your full gallery in around 4 weeks, but a sneak peak preview is available within 2-3 days so you will have between 20-40 images to share quickly.

What’s the editing process like?
I take a thoughtful approach to editing. My style is all about enhancing the natural beauty of your day. Your colours will be natural, vibrant and true to life, while ensuring your photos look timeless. Each image is carefully edited with attention to detail, but I keep things authentic so your photos feel as natural and beautiful as the moments they capture.

How will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive your photos via a private online gallery. It’s easy to access from any device, and you can download your high-resolution images directly to a laptop, pc or hard drive. The gallery also includes the option to order prints, if you’d like to preserve your memories in a more personal way.

Can we share our photos on social media right away?
Yes, absolutely! Once your gallery is ready, you’ll have the option to share your favourite photos immediately. I also create a sneak peak of 20-40 images and a social media-ready vertical photo reel, perfect for sharing, so you can show off those beautiful moments right away with your loved ones.

Do you offer albums or prints?
While albums and prints aren’t included, they are available as optional add-ons. If you’d love to have a beautifully designed album to showcase your memories, just let me know! I’ll guide you through the process to create something truly special.

For your wedding photos, choose outfits that make you feel confident, comfortable, and true to your style. Light, airy fabrics work great in natural light, and solid colours are timeless. I’m happy to offer guidance based on your venue and theme to make sure your outfits look amazing in photos.

Ibiza Small Wedding FAQs

Can you legally get married in Ibiza?

An Ibiza wedding can only be regarded as ‘‘legal’ if one of you is catholic or a resident of the island. Any ceremony conducted outside of a catholic church or away from the gaze of the local town hall will be symbolic. This is great news though! It means that you can have complete freedom over your Ibiza Small Wedding and particularly your ceremony. 

How long is the ceremony? 

You have a lot of say in how long your ceremony is and every celebrant that I recommend is a specialist in this area. Some couples just want something short and sweet, whilst others may welcome a nice recap of their time together along with some nice readings. The advantage of an Ibiza Small Wedding is that you get to choose and your celebrant will be happy to guide you. Typically a ceremony lasts between 15-30 minutes

How long does the whole thing take?

With ceremony and photography, you will need between an hour and 90 minutes. This ensures you make the most of the setting, enjoy a personal ceremony created just for you and some lovely photos afterwards. If your ceremony is close to a beach, cliff top or in pretty countryside then how long you spend there afterwards is completely up to you.  

How does the photography work?

An hour is usually all you need to get enough photos of the occasion. This would include your arrival, the ceremony and then some relaxed shots afterwards. You can expect to receive 80-100 edited images within the week. These would be available to download via a pro gallery service. You will also receive a gallery of photos resized for social media and sharing.

Can we choose any place we like? 

Yes! Within reason The beauty of Ibiza Small Weddings is that you are free to have your intimate celebration almost anywhere you like on the island. 
You can’t place any structures or have seating (due to local laws) and music/noise has to be kept to a minimum) but you’re free to enjoy almost any place in Ibiza for as long as you like. You might already have a spot that’s special to you both, or I can happily recommend the best areas.

How can we book?

Ibiza small weddings and elopements are usually booked between 3 months and 3 days beforehand. Short notice isn’t a problem if myself and the celebrant have availability The ceremony day and time is then confirmed with a small deposit.

When is the best time to get married in Ibiza?

Small weddings take place in beautiful places, these are however public. You may have some places almost to yourself in May, June, Sep or Oct, but find that in July and August it’s very difficult to secure a spot where there aren’t lots of people around. The heat is also something to consider, especially if your group includes small children or older people.

What time does the ceremony take place?

Ceremonies can take place either early morning or around an hour before sunset. Early morning weddings can be a lovely experience as the light is nicer, the air fresher and the beaches emptier.

Ibiza Small Wedding & Elopements – Best Venues

You might prefer an intimate venue if you have a small group, Ibiza has some beautiful options if you would like something a little more organised. Here are my favourite 6.

1. Mar de Santa – Santa Eulalia
   This is a great spot right by the sea and within walking distance of Santa Eulalia. It’s just far enough away from the town to feel peaceful and intimate. The food is amazing and the shady beachfront keeps things comfortabe thoroughout the day.
2. Santa Marta – Santa Eulalia
   A beachfront restaurant just outside of Santa Eulalia. The staff are friendly, the venue modern and well decorated and you couldn’t be closer to the sea!
3. Petunia Ibiza – Close to Cala Carbo
   This boutique hotel is the ultimate in intimate hideaways, and comes with stunning views of Es Vedra as standard.
4. The Beach – San Antonio bay
   For those staying in the Bay or over in town, this beachside venue is a really easy pick and perfect for family ceremonies by the sea. The celebrations continue with good food and drinks and a busy bay within walking distance for those that would like to enjoy the day for a bit longer.
5. Atzaro Beach – Cala Nova
   Authentic bohemian beachfront setting with turquoise waters as your backdrop. The team are extremely professional and helpful and also offer in-house planning services.
6. Cala Bassa Beach Club
   Stylish and chic beach club with amazing views across the sea. This venue offers a vibrant yet intimate experience.

Hey lovebirds! Planning an Ibiza wedding is an epic adventure, but let’s be real – it’s also a whirlwind of excitement and potential pitfalls. Today, we’re diving into some common Ibiza wedding regrets and sharing expert tips to ensure your special day is everything you’ve dreamed of and more.

Common Ibiza Wedding Regrets – At a Glance

Based on my years of capturing unforgettable moments, here are some of the most frequent regrets I’ve heard from couples:

• Guest List Drama: Inviting everyone can be tempting, and you may feel some pressure to include certain people. But the beauty of a destination wedding often means a smaller, handpicked guest list. Prioritise those closest to you.
• Underestimating Costs: Beyond the venue and flights, hidden expenses can sneak up on you. Create a detailed budget and add a cushion.
• Overlooking the Heat: Ibiza is sunny and gorgeous, however it is also very hot. Don’t underestimate this for yourselves or your guests.
• Not Hiring a Planner: A local wedding planner can be a lifesaver, especially in unfamiliar territory. They know the best vendors and can handle the stress.
• Cutting Costs on Hair and Makeup: Friends may kindly offer to help with this and it may be tempting to just do your own makeup. The difference is ALWAYS obvious when professional make up hasn’t been used, take it from me.
• Not Enough Buffer Time: Your wedding day is incredible, but it can fly by and things just take longer. It’s easy to fall behind on the schedule which can impact on other important parts of the day.

No Regrets! How to Make Sure Your Ibiza Wedding Runs Smoothly.

Limiting Your Guest List Creates a More Meaningful Wedding.
This one is up there with budget for giving the most grief to couples on their wedding day. One of the most common regrets couples express is feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of guests. With an Ibiza wedding, a limited guest list naturally narrows down to the people who are truly close to you, creating a more meaningful celebration with less stress. Fewer guests mean you can connect with each person there, sharing more personal moments rather than rushing from one group to the next. This setup allows you to truly enjoy the company of your nearest and dearest without feeling the pressure of managing a large crowd. In my experience the ideal number is between 45-60 guests if you’re looking for a wedding with a party included, or you can go smaller, 2-20, if you would like to keep things super intimate and personalised.

Stay on Budget.
These are some costs to watch:
Unanticipated Vendor Fees
Many venues and some hotels, especially resorts, add fees for bringing in outside vendors like photographers, hair and make up artists, florists, or catering teams. Fees can range widely, so factor this into your budget from the start to avoid last-minute surprises. If you have to fork out for a day pass for your vendors and 6 bridesmaids who are staying in another hotel, that can be really expensive!
Travel and Transportation Costs
It’s tempting to cut costs here and suggest that guests arrive at your venue by taxi, this can be a big mistake and can have an huge impact on your day. Taxis in Ibiza are notoriously unreliable so booking transport for yourselves and for your guests is essential. Your venue or planner will be able to organise this for you, trust what they suggest, this is a really important element of your day to budget for!
Bridal Party Obligations
It’s so lovely to be surrounded by your favourite people as your bridal party and if you want 8 bridesmaids and 8 groomsmen then you should certainly have them. However, it’s generally accepted that you pay for their outfits, so don’t forget to make sure you have the budget for this before you ask them! Personalised gifts are also a nice touch during the getting ready part of the day so this may be an additional expense to have in mind.

VAT (IVA) and Bank Transfer Fees
Some quotes you’ll receive are without VAT, don’t forget to double check it’s included as adding 21% on to some figures can make a massive difference. Bank transfer fees can also be steep, I recommend using services such as Wise or Revolut to cut down on these extra and unnecessary outgoings. Finally, some Ibiza vendors will ask for their payment in cash euros when you arrive. This is something to really pay attention to, if you have to go to your bank and withdraw a last minute large amount it could end up being complicated. Keep an eye on this as the amounts can soon add up and definitely don’t leave it until you get here as cash machines can only give out 300e/day.

Underestimating the Heat
You’ve booked Ibiza for your wedding so you can be sure of sunshine and the most beautiful backdrops, but the one of the Ibiza wedding regrets that I hear a lot about is just how hot it can get. It still surprises me all these years on! The heat is perfectly manageable but it can really get in your face if you and your guests aren’t prepared, so here are my own top tips to make sure you all enjoy the whole day:
Drink lots of water & don’t forget to eat. 
It sounds so simple and silly to mention, but with all those fizzy drinks flying about and people bringing you cocktails etc, water gets forgotten. Plan on hydration breaks every hour and if you feel giddy go straight for the full fat coke, it’ll sort you out in moments trust me Most couples also forget to eat, what with it all being a whirlwind. It can be a good idea to assign a bridesmaid the task of reminding you to eat and drink so you don’t forget.

Do you really need a wedding planner?
There are 100s of posts that will tell you how easy it is to plan your own wedding and why eliminating a planner is a great idea. In some cases this can be true, but if you are booking a full wedding day with various elements & suppliers that need to come together perfectly, then it’s essential for you to have a professional on board. Ibiza is blessed with excellent people who will literally streamline your day and take care of all the stresses for you. It’s hard to imagine how many moving parts there are to a wedding day and organising from abroad over email and video call can get frustrating. Consider leaving the heavy admin work to someone else so you can concentrate on the fun stuff & avoid having any Ibiza wedding regrets in the lead up to the day.

Professional Hair & Make Up – It seems pricey, can’t you just do it yourself?
This is one area where I have a strong opinion, do not do your own make up. You won’t be comfortable and the camera won’t like it! I’ve seen many brides and bridesmaids who are perfectly proficient at doing their own makeup at home, however when done here it just doesn’t work, it doesn’t stay on and it ends up streaked. This is one thing that’s worth the investment and you’ll know that both you and your bridesmaids will look amazing all day long.

Adding in Extra Time
You may heard of the 30/5 rule? It’s a good one to hold on to. You won’t believe this until you’re in it, but what takes 5 minutes in real life really will take around 30 minutes on your wedding day. Going to the toilet, moving around your venue, getting a few people together for a photo, all of these things can take an absolute age and play havoc with your timeline if you haven’t factored in some buffer. It’s a lovely thing, but everyone will want to talk to you as you pass by, they’ll also all want photos with you, so any thoughts of just nipping off to have a look at your tables before dinner or a quick visit to the loo will all take much longer than you think! Between each element of your day such as arrival at your venue and the ceremony itself, or after your drinks and canapes and before your meal, factor in some buffer time, that way you’re not behind before you’ve started.

Did you know that before the 1500s we could marry ourselves? I don’t mean get married to ourselves, although I know some people who would do that. I mean we could just declare ourselves as a couple, married. These days we have professionals to do this job for us, which is just as well.

After the initial contact with a couple, I arrange a video call with them. I feel it’s important that they like me. Seems like this is an obvious statement but it really is a must that we feel comfortable working together and that the couple get to know me as a friend. I will be playing an important role in their day so it’s important they feel relaxed with me.
If at all possible it’s great to meet in person and then the ceremony can be put together via emails and chats. I like to get as much personal background info from them so that I can use this in the ceremony.  Once they arrive on the island I will arrange for a run through with those involved in the ceremony so everyone can feel relaxed on the day

• How do you plan and produce an Ibiza Wedding Ceremony for your couples? 

Celebrancy is a calling and it brings me so much joy to create meaningful ceremonies for my couples; I want to make their experience fun and exciting from the start. The way I approach designing a ceremony is based on my own curiosity and observations of who they are. I’m really interested in how two people connect with one another and relate to the world around them; how they build their love and life. I do this through lighthearted conversations, connecting with the couple whenever I can, and sometimes asking close family members and friends to help me build a richer portrait of their relationship. I’m romantic and sensitive at heart, so I find almost everything I need to build the ceremony comes from the couple and the stories they tell me, especially the little things. For me, a wedding ceremony is not just about retelling the tale of how a couple met, but also about making connections and revealing things about their love and relationship that friends and family probably don’t already know about them. I loved that, it was perfect for that place and moment. It’s my idea of romance and it’s completely real, instead of something from a book or a song.

Can You Legally Get Married in Ibiza?
In short, no. All Ibiza wedding ceremonies are symbolic (unless one of you is resident or catholic) So for you to be ‘legally married’ this would have to take place in your home country, usually beforehand. But this is not essential or mandatory.

We’ve Booked a Wedding Package. Do We Have to Have the Celebrant Included?
It’s not usually obligatory to accept whichever celebrant comes along with your wedding package. It is always worth checking with the venue/planner which elements can be changed or eliminated.
Celebrants that come with your package often read from a set script, so you might want something that feels a little more personal. In that case it’s best to source your own.

How Long Does an Ibiza Ceremony Take?
Ibiza ceremonies can last between 20-40 minutes. Your chosen host will walk you through your timings and will ensure the ceremony is as long or as short as you would like it to be.
Time of year is an important factor and should always be considered. If you have a July or August wedding then it’s advisable to keep things short. Your guests who have all been sat in the sun will thank you for it!

Can Ibiza Wedding Celebrants Perform a Wedding Anywhere?
Yes. All Ibiza weddings are symbolic so there are no restrictions on where they can be performed. Bear in mind that any spaces such as beaches and clifftops are all public and can therefore not have any unauthorised structures like arches and chairs placed on them. To do this is at your own risk and could attract some police attention and a fine. Ceremonies in these places are fine if everyone is standing. Always check with your celebrant first before planning a ceremony somewhere which isn’t a licensed venue.

Cas Mila is one of Ibiza’s most popular wedding venues and can be found in Cala Tarida. It’s like this restaurant has been built for weddings, with an enormous terrace for ceremonies providing sea views and a gorgeous sunset and a private rooftop area for the wedding meal. • What is included in our Brochure? 

Everything included in your package is mentioned on the brochure you were sent when you booked. In the case of Sunset weddings, you will find all the package inclusions on pages 17 & 18. In the case of Midday weddings, all package inclusions can be found on pages 12 & 13.

• What are the different Cas Mila Ibiza Weddings Packages?

We have 3 different Packages you can choose from on our exclusive online shop.
– Cas Milà Standard Package: This is everything that is included in your brochure.
– Cas Milà Plus Package: Everything the standard package includes, PLUS some of our most popular extras to make your wedding more unique.
– Cas Milà Premium Package: Everything the standard package includes, plus some of our extras & decorations with natural flowers.

• How do I select one of the Cas Milà Packages?

It is very easy, you simply log in to your shop, click on the “packs” tab and scroll down the page where you will find all three packages. Click on the “select this package” button of whichever package you decide to choose, and you will automatically see at the top of your shop it will say the amount of your proforma, and under it the amount of the package you have selected.

• Can I just select the extras I want if I am not interested in the full packages?

Yes of course! The packages have been put together to offer you some of our most popular extras at a lower price than what it would be to add them in separately to your shop. However, if you do not want all the extras stated on the package, you simply have to select the standard package (the one that is included in your brochure) and select the extras you would like to add on from the extras tab on the main menu of your online shop.

• If I select a package but there are some services I won’t be using, will there be a deduction? 

If you decide to not use one or more services that are included in the package (for example, you are bringing your own celebrant, or photographer, etc.) there will be no deduction, these are closed packages and we cannot deduct any of the services from them.

• How do I access my online shop?

Once you have made your second payment, our sales manager will give you access to your online shop with your username and password. If you have booked your wedding more than 1 year in advance, you will have access to your shop, but you will not be able to select extras until the month of September before your wedding. This is because at the end of each season, during the month of September, the shop is reviewed and checked to see if any changes need to be made for the following season.

• When do my suppliers start to be confirmed?

Your shop has to be closed/confirmed 4 months before the wedding, or earlier if you are sure about the extras you want. Once we receive the confirmation of your shop closing, we will add the total amount of the extras/packages you have selected to your invoice and send it to you so you can make the payment. Once that is done, we then confirm all the extras and suppliers for your wedding day. The earlier you close your shop and confirm your extras the better! 

• What drinks are included during the meal?

During your meal, you will be served white wine, rose wine, red wine, water & soft drinks at your table. Your waiters will be going around filling your glasses during the whole meal.

• Can I bring some miniature drinks as favors?

No, no drinks brought from the exterior are allowed into the restaurant.

• What is the minimum number of guests we can have at our wedding?

The minimum number of guests for your wedding to be held at Cas Milà is 25 pax. 

• Do you have special menus for Vegans, Vegetarians, etc?

Yes of course, we have different menu options for Vegans, Vegetarians and also guests with allergies.

• Is the restaurant accessible for wheelchairs?

In the case of having a wedding with guests in wheelchairs, we would suggest getting married on our main terrace and not on our Rooftop, as the rooftop is not accessible for wheelchairs. These guests would not be able to access the chill out area which is where the welcome drinks and appetizers are held, however, the rest of the day would be held on the main terrace where they would be able to access without a problem.

• Is it possible to pay by card at the restaurant?

Yes, however, the service for the credit card machine is very bad. Down in the chill out area where the welcome drinks and appetizers take place, the bar is cash only because of this. There is a cash machine outside the chill out area to make it easier for you. 

• If our wedding is on the rooftop, is the party held there too?

No, the rooftop will be where your meal takes place, your speeches and your wedding cake. Once you have had your wedding cake, we will ask your guests to make their way down to the main terrace (where the ceremony was held) and gather around for the first dance. You will then come down the stairway to your first dance song and dance in the main terrace in front of your guests, after this the party will start until midnight, and then from midnight until 1am you will have to go inside the restaurant (you will be in a private area for your wedding party).

• Can the buses make several stops?

Yes, once you fill in the guest list and let us know where your guests are staying, we will pass the information on to the coach company and they will specify what stops they will be doing. We will then let you know, so you can inform your guests at what stop they will be picked up/dropped off.

• Is there any chance we can book taxis at the end of the evening to be taken back to our hotels?

Unfortunately, not. There is no such thing as pre-booking a taxi in Ibiza, especially during the summer season and at night. This is why, if you are not staying within walking distance, it is mandatory for you to book a return bus for you and your guests.

• What happens if it rains?

In the case of rain, everything would be held inside the restaurant. The ceremony would be held under our Sabina terrace and after that would set all the tables in the same area while you enjoy your appetizers in the interior room.

• Is the restaurant still open to other guests?

Yes, the restaurant is still open for other guests. You would have exclusivity of the restaurant if you have 100+ adults attending your wedding.

• Is there a limit of distance with transportation?

No, the bus prices include pick ups all over the island, however, if you are staying in a Villa we will have to enquire with the coach company first as sometimes the access to certain villas is not accessible for the buses.

• Is there a limit of distance with Wedding car?

Yes, the wedding car included in your package is for pick ups within the areas of: San Antonio, San Antonio Bay, Port D’es Torrent & Cala Tarida. Anywhere outside these areas will have an increase in the price.

• Can We bring our own DJ?

Yes, although Cas Milà’s DJ will also be there to assist him/her and make sure the equipment is used properly. (There will be no discount from your package if you bring your own DJ, as mentioned above, the package is a closed price).

• Can we tweak the timeline?

No, the timeline we have is set so that you have privacy during your ceremony (as there won’t be many people in the restaurant at that time) and also for your first dance & party.

How to choose your Ibiza Wedding Photographer…

It’s quite normal to feel a little overwhelmed when planning your Ibiza Wedding from afar. There are so many elements to manage and things to decide. But choosing your Ibiza Wedding Photographer shouldn’t be a stressful experience, not if you keep these essential 5 things in mind…

Price.

This is always going to be important. Photography is up there with the things you will spend the most money on. But don’t worry, the most expensive option isn’t always the one which will get the photos best suited to you. Get some quotes, compare prices and don’t be afraid to double check what’s included. With some services there are things you may have to add on later. So it’s best to find out at the beginning if this is the case. The more upfront things are at this stage the better you’ll feel.

Personality

The better you get on with  your photographer the better your photos will be. It’s true I promise! One of the things I love most about  my job is getting to know each couple and enjoy spending time with them. Once you click then the job of getting those special and individual shots becomes a pleasure. When you begin your search for a wedding photographer don’t be afraid to ask some questions about each person you contact. The answers will tell you a lot about them and you’ll get a good feeling about who you’re talking to. On the day itself a good photographer with the right personality will know how to talk to you and your guests and will make the experience enjoyable.

Experience

Experience is key. But in the photography world it’s essential and in Ibiza it’s number 1! An experienced photographer will know how to set up the best shots with minimum fuss and they’ll know how to manoeuvre amongst you and your guests without intruding into your day. The aim is for you to hardly ever notice them. They’ll instantly know the shots you’ll love and how to achieve them. They may not be the cheapest option but a good wedding photographer will always to be on hand for all the most important moments without you having to search them out. This is definitely an investment worth making.

One last point on this subject, experience shouldn’t be confused with shooting tons of weddings every summer. These guys are usually overused by mass market wedding companies. They may be competent but they are usually knackered and this will definitely not a happy photographer make. So it’s worth asking your potential photographer how many weddings and events they take on each summer. Less is definitely more! And I think your wedding day deserves to be photographed by someone who’s really into it.

Professionalism.

Your photographer should remain focused and professional at all times. It’s good to have a chat with guests and enjoy the day but that has to be balanced correctly with working and always being aware of potential photos. You don’t want to look up and see your photographer having a better time than you!

When choosing your wedding photographer it’s also important that they not only know your venue but how to get there. The more professional will know all the most popular wedding spots very well. It may only be a small island but the opportunities for error getting to places are countless. It has happened, the photographer has arrived after the bride and all because they didn’t really know where they were going. Disaster!

Quality of the Work.

The great thing about the internet is there’s great access to every kind of photography on offer. You can quickly see everyone’s’ images and where they’ve been working.

When thinking of how to choose your Ibiza wedding photographer it’s best to just view a few images from each person’s portfolio. Instagram is great starting point. There you’re likely to see all their most recent work, then you can head over to their website and have a look at a few galleries. Next, ask yourself simply do I like this? Can I see myself having a photo like this? How much time would it take to achieve each picture? For example, if you’re looking for a more natural and relaxed approach, you may want to steer away from someone who presents overly fussy set ups. In short, if a photographer has made a good effort to present themselves to you in a way that you like then that’s it really, job done

I had been to a wedding at Elixir 3 years earlier as a guest and I said to my best friend “if ash ever asks me to marry him, I’m getting married here”. It is the most perfect venue!

Can you plan and have an Ibiza wedding in 30 days? Yes of course you can!

As soon as I heard the story, I knew I was going to love them and their wedding! Caroline had originally booked a completely different venue and date and was looking for a photographer to come and take some relaxed photos of them all. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there as I was supposed to be in the UK (sad face) But fate was on my side. Caroline changed her mind. And the venue and the date! Only potential obstacle, it was going to be in less than a month!

The end of October is gorgeous in Ibiza. The days can be warm and the sunsets are stunning. Only minor obstacle is the chance of rain. As luck would have it, Caroline and Owen missed a 2 day downpour and had their Cas Mila Ibiza wedding on one of the most beautiful days of the month. All’s well that ends well

I caught up with them to find out just what it was like to plan and have their Ibiza wedding in super quick time.

A little bit about you, what you do and why you wanted an Ibiza wedding.

This was a second marriage for both of us so we knew instantly that we didn’t want a big white wedding or all the stress and formalities that come with it.  We’ve come to Ibiza for holidays for many years so it’s very special to us and it has become our family’s “happy place”. There isn’t really anywhere else we would choose to get married! We got engaged in Palma, Majorca so the Balearics feature heavily in the story of us! 

How did you find Cas Mila and what made you choose it? 

We found Cas Mila online! We actually didn’t see the venue for the first time until the day before the wedding as Covid prevented us from making any trips out before the big day. But we couldn’t be happier with our choice.  We did watch many videos and read many reviews when making our choice so felt confident it was what we were looking for in terms of a beach front venue, amazing views and relaxed vibe! We knew we wanted our children to play a big part in our day so didn’t want anywhere too formal or stuffy!!

Describe the planning process and how it felt to organise a wedding so quickly?

Obviously due to Covid there was a lot of uncertainty. As well as having to move our original date, we only knew for definite that our wedding could go ahead 4 weeks before the big day!  So until then no planning had been done at all. It really was all organised in under a month!! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing wedding planners Olga & Leanne who were so calm and super organised. Their meticulous attention to detail made us feel very confident they’d leave no stone unturned to get everything planned and booked in time. And they didn’t disappoint, we wouldn’t have changed a thing! They delivered on every single level. 

Tell me about your experience getting married at Cas Mila?

Cas Mila was everything we could have hoped for and more. A beautiful beachfront setting overlooking a stunning beach. The views are just amazing and we were so lucky to have clear blue skies and sunshine followed by the most incredible sunset. The whole set up of the wedding area is done to make the most of the beautiful view. Everyone at Cas Mila went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. The food, the service, the organisation and professionalism were all just spot on. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to which is some praise indeed! I genuinely couldn’t recommend this venue enough, we are so pleased we chose it. 

A few words about your photographer  

Anne, you were a pleasure to have at our wedding. You listened to what we were looking for from our pictures and instantly made us feel relaxed. You were there to capture every moment but in a discreet way and never in our faces. We were so happy with our photos. 

What are your favourite Ibiza places, beach, restaurants or bars?

Well obviously now Cala Tarida will obviously be a very special place to us and we’ll definitely be back. The beach there is just beautiful and perfect for young children. We usually stay in Cala Llonga on the other side of the island but I think after a week enjoying the most amazing sunsets we are now forever more sold on this side of the island!! Visiting Es Vedra to watch the sunset one evening was in particular a special moment.  We would definitely recommend hiring a car to explore the island – as well as Ed Vedra we also visited Time & Space and the abandoned festival club both of which are well worth visiting! We love the Sunset Ashram for food and drinks in a beautiful spot.
