During Your Ibiza Wedding

What happens on the day of the wedding?
In short, my goal is to blend in seamlessly. I want you to enjoy every moment without worrying about the photography. I’ll guide you through key moments—like portraits and group shots—while ensuring everything feels natural and relaxed. For candid shots, I’ll be in the background, capturing real moments without you even noticing.

We don’t want to spend hours taking photos. Will it take up too much of our time?
I don’t want you to spend ages away from your guests. We’ll plan ahead so that you can have a balance of natural portraits and time to enjoy your day with your loved ones. I aim to keep things quick, relaxed, and efficient, without interrupting the flow of your celebration. You’ll have enough time and still get beautiful photos that reflect all the key moments and the day itself perfectly.

How do you get those natural, candid shots without us feeling awkward?
All couples have doubts when it comes to their personal photos, so I’m all about making you feel comfortable. I’ll help you with relaxed, guided moments that you can have fun with, but most of the time, you won’t even notice me. I love to document meaningful glimpses as they happen, the laughter, the love, and the small details in between. You’ll look and feel at ease—you enjoy the moment, and I’ll capture it!

How do you manage group photos and family portraits?
Group photos are important, but I keep them organised and stress-free. We create a list of the key shots you want and also assign a couple of people to help me from your group. That will help guide everyone into place quickly. With a little pre-planning, we can get beautiful family portraits without feeling rushed or distracted from the celebrations. The sweet spot for group photos is between 10-15 with up to 8 guests at your sides. It can be very hot and it can take 2-3 minutes to set up each shot, so let’s get this bit out of the way as quickly as possible whilst still achieving lovely photos.

Will you capture all the special moments during the day?
Absolutely. I’m there to document all the important moments. You won’t have to worry about missing a thing as we will have had a chat about what moments and people should feature the most. All of those personal touches and important details that you’ve spent time planning into your day will be covered.

 

After Your Wedding – What Happens Next

When will we receive our photos?
You can expect your full gallery in around 4 weeks, but a sneak peak preview is available within 2-3 days so you will have between 20-40 images to share quickly.

What’s the editing process like?
I take a thoughtful approach to editing. My style is all about enhancing the natural beauty of your day. Your colours will be natural, vibrant and true to life, while ensuring your photos look timeless. Each image is carefully edited with attention to detail, but I keep things authentic so your photos feel as natural and beautiful as the moments they capture.

How will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive your photos via a private online gallery. It’s easy to access from any device, and you can download your high-resolution images directly to a laptop, pc or hard drive. The gallery also includes the option to order prints, if you’d like to preserve your memories in a more personal way.

Can we share our photos on social media right away?
Yes, absolutely! Once your gallery is ready, you’ll have the option to share your favourite photos immediately. I also create a sneak peak of 20-40 images and a social media-ready vertical photo reel, perfect for sharing, so you can show off those beautiful moments right away with your loved ones.

Do you offer albums or prints?
While albums and prints aren’t included, they are available as optional add-ons. If you’d love to have a beautifully designed album to showcase your memories, just let me know! I’ll guide you through the process to create something truly special.

My wedding photography style is a blend of documentary and natural portrait photography. I think what makes it so unique is my focus on relationships and connections. I work hard to capture the emotions and meaningful moments that happen naturally, whilst also guiding you to feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera.

What should we wear for our wedding photos?
For your wedding photos, choose outfits that make you feel confident, comfortable, and true to your style. Light, airy fabrics work great in natural light, and solid colours are timeless. I’m happy to offer guidance based on your venue and theme to make sure your outfits look amazing in photos.

How do we book you for our wedding?
Booking is easy! Simply reach out with your wedding details, and we’ll set up a call to discuss your vision. Once you’ve decided to move forward, I’ll send you a contract to confirm your date. A deposit secures your booking, and then we can start planning your perfect wedding photography experience 🙂

Yes — and that’s what makes it so special. Elixir is Ibiza’s only dedicated wedding venue, meaning it’s designed purely with weddings in mind. There are no walk-in tourists, no hotel guests, just you and your loved ones. So you can enjoy an exclusive celebration in a stunning seaside location.

Can we have our entire wedding day at Elixir – from ceremony to dinner and dancing?

Absolutely. Elixir is a full-service venue that allows you to host your ceremony, drinks reception, dinner, and evening party all in one place. Everything flows beautifully from one part of the day to the next, and the team is brilliant at making sure the whole day feels seamless and relaxed.

What are the views like, and will we get a good sunset?

The views are what couples love the most! Elixir overlooks a quiet cove just beyond Cala Conta, offering uninterrupted sea views and a magical angle on the famous Ibiza sunset. And yes — the ceremony terrace has that iconic view of Es Vedrà. It’s pretty unforgettable.

How easy is it for guests to get to the venue?

It feels secluded but it’s very accessible. Elixir feels hidden and peaceful, but it’s easy to reach by car or minibus. Most couples arrange transport for their guests, and the venue is well set up for that, there are no long walks or tricky roads involved.

Are there places to stay somewhere nearby?

Yes – loads! While Elixir itself doesn’t offer accommodation, there are plenty of great options nearby, from boutique hotels and villa rentals to family hotels in San Antonio Bay which is only a 15 minute drive. Your guests will have a great range of choices to suit different styles and budgets.

Have you photographed weddings at Elixir before?

Yes, I have, lots! And it’s one of my favourite venues. I know all the best spots for photos and how the light shifts throughout the day. I’ve also worked closely with the team there for many years, which helps everything flow really smoothly behind the scenes.

Can you help with planning the timeline for photos?

Yes – and it’s one of the things couples tell me they appreciate most. I’ll guide you through when to do group photos, couple portraits, and sunset shots without disrupting the fun. My goal is always to make space for gorgeous moments without turning your wedding into a photo shoot.

What’s your photography style?

Natural, relaxed, and a little bit romantic. I mix candid storytelling with a few gentle poses to give you a beautiful record of your day — full of real moments, laughter, happy tears, and all the love around you. Nothing too stiff, nothing too staged.

We’re a bit camera shy – will that be a problem?

Not at all. Most of my couples say this, and then end up loving the process. I give just enough direction to help you feel confident without making anything awkward. By the end of the day, you’ll forget the camera’s even there.

If a couple have booked a ‘Written for you ceremony’, I will also contact their friends and family to get a picture of what they are like as a couple and individuals and for any anecdotes or kind words to include. This helps to make a ceremony even more personal and although more time consuming is my favourite type of ceremony to perform.

• How do you plan and produce an Ibiza Wedding Ceremony for your couples? 

After the initial contact with a couple, I arrange a video call with them. I feel it’s important that they like me. Seems like this is an obvious statement but it really is a must that we feel comfortable working together and that the couple get to know me as a friend. I will be playing an important role in their day so it’s important they feel relaxed with me.
If at all possible it’s great to meet in person and then the ceremony can be put together via emails and chats. I like to get as much personal background info from them so that I can use this in the ceremony.  Once they arrive on the island I will arrange for a run through with those involved in the ceremony so everyone can feel relaxed on the day

• How do you plan and produce an Ibiza Wedding Ceremony for your couples? 

Celebrancy is a calling and it brings me so much joy to create meaningful ceremonies for my couples; I want to make their experience fun and exciting from the start. The way I approach designing a ceremony is based on my own curiosity and observations of who they are. I’m really interested in how two people connect with one another and relate to the world around them; how they build their love and life. I do this through lighthearted conversations, connecting with the couple whenever I can, and sometimes asking close family members and friends to help me build a richer portrait of their relationship. Ibiza Wedding Celebrant – FAQs

Can You Legally Get Married in Ibiza?
In short, no. All Ibiza wedding ceremonies are symbolic (unless one of you is resident or catholic) So for you to be ‘legally married’ this would have to take place in your home country, usually beforehand. But this is not essential or mandatory.

We’ve Booked a Wedding Package. Do We Have to Have the Celebrant Included?
It’s not usually obligatory to accept whichever celebrant comes along with your wedding package. It is always worth checking with the venue/planner which elements can be changed or eliminated.
Celebrants that come with your package often read from a set script, so you might want something that feels a little more personal. In that case it’s best to source your own.

How Long Does an Ibiza Ceremony Take?
Ibiza ceremonies can last between 20-40 minutes. Your chosen host will walk you through your timings and will ensure the ceremony is as long or as short as you would like it to be.
Time of year is an important factor and should always be considered. If you have a July or August wedding then it’s advisable to keep things short. Your guests who have all been sat in the sun will thank you for it!

Can Ibiza Wedding Celebrants Perform a Wedding Anywhere?
Yes. All Ibiza weddings are symbolic so there are no restrictions on where they can be performed. Bear in mind that any spaces such as beaches and clifftops are all public and can therefore not have any unauthorised structures like arches and chairs placed on them. To do this is at your own risk and could attract some police attention and a fine. Ceremonies in these places are fine if everyone is standing. Always check with your celebrant first before planning a ceremony somewhere which isn’t a licensed venue.

Cas Mila Ibiza Weddings – All You Need to Know

Cas Mila is one of Ibiza’s most popular wedding venues and can be found in Cala Tarida. It’s like this restaurant has been built for weddings, with an enormous terrace for ceremonies providing sea views and a gorgeous sunset and a private rooftop area for the wedding meal. I’ve been photographing weddings for over 10 years here and am one of their recommended photographers. Read on to find out if this Ibiza Wedding Venue is perfect for you…

• What is included in our Brochure? 

Everything included in your package is mentioned on the brochure you were sent when you booked. In the case of Sunset weddings, you will find all the package inclusions on pages 17 & 18. In the case of Midday weddings, all package inclusions can be found on pages 12 & 13.

• What are the different Cas Mila Ibiza Weddings Packages?

We have 3 different Packages you can choose from on our exclusive online shop.
– Cas Milà Standard Package: This is everything that is included in your brochure.
– Cas Milà Plus Package: Everything the standard package includes, PLUS some of our most popular extras to make your wedding more unique.
– Cas Milà Premium Package: Everything the standard package includes, plus some of our extras & decorations with natural flowers.

• How do I select one of the Cas Milà Packages?

It is very easy, you simply log in to your shop, click on the “packs” tab and scroll down the page where you will find all three packages. Click on the “select this package” button of whichever package you decide to choose, and you will automatically see at the top of your shop it will say the amount of your proforma, and under it the amount of the package you have selected.

• Can I just select the extras I want if I am not interested in the full packages?

Yes of course! The packages have been put together to offer you some of our most popular extras at a lower price than what it would be to add them in separately to your shop. However, if you do not want all the extras stated on the package, you simply have to select the standard package (the one that is included in your brochure) and select the extras you would like to add on from the extras tab on the main menu of your online shop.

• If I select a package but there are some services I won’t be using, will there be a deduction? 

If you decide to not use one or more services that are included in the package (for example, you are bringing your own celebrant, or photographer, etc.) there will be no deduction, these are closed packages and we cannot deduct any of the services from them.

• How do I access my online shop?

Once you have made your second payment, our sales manager will give you access to your online shop with your username and password. If you have booked your wedding more than 1 year in advance, you will have access to your shop, but you will not be able to select extras until the month of September before your wedding. This is because at the end of each season, during the month of September, the shop is reviewed and checked to see if any changes need to be made for the following season.

• When do my suppliers start to be confirmed?

Your shop has to be closed/confirmed 4 months before the wedding, or earlier if you are sure about the extras you want. Once we receive the confirmation of your shop closing, we will add the total amount of the extras/packages you have selected to your invoice and send it to you so you can make the payment. Once that is done, we then confirm all the extras and suppliers for your wedding day. The earlier you close your shop and confirm your extras the better! 

• What drinks are included during the meal?

During your meal, you will be served white wine, rose wine, red wine, water & soft drinks at your table. Your waiters will be going around filling your glasses during the whole meal.

• Can I bring some miniature drinks as favors?

No, no drinks brought from the exterior are allowed into the restaurant.

• What is the minimum number of guests we can have at our wedding?

The minimum number of guests for your wedding to be held at Cas Milà is 25 pax. 

• Do you have special menus for Vegans, Vegetarians, etc?

Yes of course, we have different menu options for Vegans, Vegetarians and also guests with allergies.

• Is the restaurant accessible for wheelchairs?

In the case of having a wedding with guests in wheelchairs, we would suggest getting married on our main terrace and not on our Rooftop, as the rooftop is not accessible for wheelchairs. These guests would not be able to access the chill out area which is where the welcome drinks and appetizers are held, however, the rest of the day would be held on the main terrace where they would be able to access without a problem.

• Is it possible to pay by card at the restaurant?

Yes, however, the service for the credit card machine is very bad. Down in the chill out area where the welcome drinks and appetizers take place, the bar is cash only because of this. There is a cash machine outside the chill out area to make it easier for you. 

• If our wedding is on the rooftop, is the party held there too?

No, the rooftop will be where your meal takes place, your speeches and your wedding cake. Once you have had your wedding cake, we will ask your guests to make their way down to the main terrace (where the ceremony was held) and gather around for the first dance. You will then come down the stairway to your first dance song and dance in the main terrace in front of your guests, after this the party will start until midnight, and then from midnight until 1am you will have to go inside the restaurant (you will be in a private area for your wedding party).

• Can the buses make several stops?

Yes, once you fill in the guest list and let us know where your guests are staying, we will pass the information on to the coach company and they will specify what stops they will be doing. We will then let you know, so you can inform your guests at what stop they will be picked up/dropped off.

• Is there any chance we can book taxis at the end of the evening to be taken back to our hotels?

Unfortunately, not. There is no such thing as pre-booking a taxi in Ibiza, especially during the summer season and at night. This is why, if you are not staying within walking distance, it is mandatory for you to book a return bus for you and your guests.

• What happens if it rains?

In the case of rain, everything would be held inside the restaurant. The ceremony would be held under our Sabina terrace and after that would set all the tables in the same area while you enjoy your appetizers in the interior room.

• Is the restaurant still open to other guests?

Yes, the restaurant is still open for other guests. You would have exclusivity of the restaurant if you have 100+ adults attending your wedding.

• Is there a limit of distance with transportation?

No, the bus prices include pick ups all over the island, however, if you are staying in a Villa we will have to enquire with the coach company first as sometimes the access to certain villas is not accessible for the buses.

• Is there a limit of distance with Wedding car?

Yes, the wedding car included in your package is for pick ups within the areas of: San Antonio, San Antonio Bay, Port D’es Torrent & Cala Tarida. Anywhere outside these areas will have an increase in the price.

• Can We bring our own DJ?

Yes, although Cas Milà’s DJ will also be there to assist him/her and make sure the equipment is used properly. (There will be no discount from your package if you bring your own DJ, as mentioned above, the package is a closed price).

• Can we tweak the timeline?

No, the timeline we have is set so that you have privacy during your ceremony (as there won’t be many people in the restaurant at that time) and also for your first dance & party.

How to Plan an Ibiza Wedding. Here are some additional tips to help you get started. 

• Your budget. Destination weddings can be expensive, so it’s important to choose a venue and suppliers that won’t cripple your bank balance.
• The time of year. Ibiza has its high and low seasons, each one comes with its own pros and cons. July & August may be nice and sunny but they’re also the hottest times of year with 40 degree heat to contend with. No wedding dress needs that!
• The activities. Consider what other activities you and your guests would like to do during your wedding trip. It’s a nice idea to have a pre and post wedding get together if possible.

Real Ibiza Proposal… Yff & Rachel

I got in touch with Lieke who runs her own unique picnic company called Into The Wild Picnics  She helped me to arrange a romantic picnic with food during the sunset at Es Vedra. Then I decided it would be nice if the whole proposal could be secretly photographed and filmed so I googled “secret proposal photographer” and got to the website of Ibizaphotography. There I found the email address of Anne and explained to her my plans. What followed was a super nice conversation where we discussed the best place and time for the whole proposal. Anne also really wanted to know who we were and what our story was.
By doing this I really felt that I already knew Anne the first minute I saw her after the proposal.

After establishing the right place and time via email, Anne also arranged my very weird request, making drone shots of the proposal. This was done by Tinyfilms who made a super nice video of the whole proposal (with not only drone footage).

Anyway, the day of the proposal was there and I was a bit anxious because I never met any of the people who arranged the whole thing and I had never even been to Ibiza. When we got to the picnic site I noticed that, besides us, there was nobody there. My friend who had been to Ibiza told me that this would be impossible since the sunset at Es Vedra attracts hundreds of people. What happened was that Into the Wild picnics did an amazing job of finding the perfect quiet spot. Besides finding the perfect spot, the picnic looked amazing and the vegetarian food was delicious (my girlfriend didn’t suspect anything because I gave her a romantic dinner for her birthday a few weeks earlier).

So while we were sitting and eating a saw Anne sitting behind us under a bush with an enormous camera. My girlfriend saw it too and didn’t suspect a thing because she thought Anne was just a photographer making pictures of Es Vedra and the sunset. Talk about hiding in plain sight ; ).

After finishing our meal it was time for the main event, the proposal. It was just a beautiful moment which was perfectly captured by Anne. Afterwards, Anne walked up to us and just made some pictures of us just enjoying the moment. My girlfriend and I are no models so I was a bit worried about the photos but Anne just said to relax and do our thing. We just did a couple of relaxing, not too exaggerated, poses while my girlfriend and I were just chatting a bit. Anne just talked to us and gave us some instructions without it feeling like a photo shoot. When all the photos and videos were made, Anne left and told us the photos would be ready a few days later.

Within those few days, my girlfriend and I laughed a bit about how funny the photos were going to be because we always have awkward poses. So the more surprised we were when we saw the photos Anne made. Every photo was gorgeous without it being too cheesy or anything. I still do not know how Anne did it but these are the photos I will cherish for the rest of my life!

It’s getting hot out there! If you have an Ibiza wedding coming up in July or August then you’ll be looking forward to lots of sunshine for your magical day. But wait, there’s a catch – if you’re not careful, the heat can get a bit in your face! 

Fear not, for I have you covered with this ultimate guide on how to keep cool at your Ibiza wedding this summer, ensuring your special day remains nothing short of sensational.

For this post, I had a chat with 2 Ibiza wedding hair and make-up experts who just so happen to have years of experience dealing with the hottest months on the island. I asked them what were their 3 top tips for staying fresh looking, sweat-free and photo ready in this Ibiza heat. I’ll also share with you the most thoughtful summer wedding gifts you can give your guests to help them stay as cool as possible on your big day. 

• If you’re having some hair up, think twice about leaving any long hair bits around the face, especially in July and August. Often with the heat they will drop and also look stringy on your photos if they go a little sweaty. It can also be quite breezy on ceremony terraces so this can get annoying & be bad for the photos if you have hair blowing across your face. If you are going to have some curls round the face then pin curl set them and take them out just before you leave to give them a chance to hold better.
• Extensions will always hold better in the heat if you’re thinking of wearing your hair down. They aren’t attached to your scalp so don’t absorb the oils and sweat from the heat.
• Always rinse your hair in bottled water the wash just before your wedding day. This will help give your hair more moisture as the water here in Ibiza isn’t the best so will help your style better and your hair will shine more.

Finally, would you recommend brides always wear their hair up?
Well that’s a tough one as some girls just don’t like their hair up and I get that. They have to feel the most beautiful version of themself. But in July & August a updo will look the best on pictures.

• Bring your own lip colour so you can keep topping up throughout the day. With drinking, eating and smooching this will wear, so it’s always best to take one with you for a top up to guarantee your pictures to look flawless.
• Translucent powder is a must to have in your bag in the Ibiza humidity. If you feel like the makeup is going too shiny, dust a little on top of your makeup and this will re-fresh everything and take you back to the original look.
• No steaming dresses after hair and makeup is complete. this will cause the hair to re-frizz and the makeup to go shiny.
  I’d always recommend that you hire a professional to steam the wedding clothes, or do all steaming the night before

Your Ibiza Wedding Photographer Cost Explained.

Your Ibiza Wedding Photography should be like you. It should reflect your personality and be highly individual, tailor-made to suit you both. For the best ‘full day’ coverage, the average cost of a wedding photographer in Ibiza is between 1200-2500e. Those prices seem very far apart, but they depend on a lot of factors.

In this post I’m going to explain all the elements which affect the price of Ibiza wedding photography and what you should consider before you book.

Ibiza Wedding Photographer Cost – The Factors Which Affect Your Price

• Location(s)
• Size of Group
• Timeline
• Number of Photos & Post Production Services

Photographers Experience

I’ve worked at hundreds of Ibiza Weddings, both as a photographer and as a planner. I’ve seen what can happen if a photographer doesn’t have much experience, specifically Ibiza experience. The best photographer for your Ibiza Wedding will have a connection with the island. They will have made their home here and will dedicate themselves to giving you their best. Also, very importantly, they will know where all the venues are and will know how long it takes to get to them. This may sound like a minor point, but I’ve been there when a wedding has had to start late because a photographer had got lost. This can ruin your timings and ultimately your day. These photographers may have higher prices, but you can rest easy knowing you’ve booked the best.

A quick glance at your photographer’s Instagram and other socials will show where their heart lays. If you see lots of weddings in all sorts of destinations, then are you really getting someone who loves Ibiza as much as you do?

Location(s)

Are you in 1 location for the whole day? Or do you need your photographer to move around? If you are both getting ready in different places, you may also need another photographer to cover this, which could mean adding on another 40-50% to the total price.

Size of Group

If you have a lot of guests, then you will definitely need 2 photographers. The second shooter will usually stay until you’re seated for the meal, but it can be longer. Enquire with your photographer about the cost of this should you need it. Personally, I think couples most enjoy their weddings when they have between 30-60 guests. This means you’ll have enough time to spend with everyone without it all becoming a bit much and you’re guaranteed a wonderful atmosphere throughout.

Time

How long you would like your wedding photographer to spend with you will greatly affect your pricing. Usually photographers offer a minimum option which is around 4 hours. This will then go up to around 8 hours and will include bridal prep as well as all the elements of the wedding day itself. Ibiza Wedding Photographers usually finish just after the first dance. They’ll make sure they have a good coverage of the start of the party before leaving you all to enjoy yourselves free of lenses!

Number of Photos and Post Production Services

I love to have the freedom to take as many photos as a wedding day allows. Your wedding photography should tell a story and represent perfectly how the day was for you. There’ll also be lots of moments that you might have missed with the whirl of it all, so it’s lovely to receive your images and see each part perfectly documented. If you’ve booked a wedding with the photographer included, check very carefully that they’re not limited to a certain number of photos. Whilst this may be the most economical option, it’s not always the best. I don’t limit couples on the amount of photos they’ll receive, but some photographers do and then you may find yourselves paying for extra images.

I’ve been an Ibiza Wedding Photographer for over 10 years. In that time I’ve seen where all the best venues are and found out who all the best Ibiza suppliers are. A personal touch is so important for me, so you’ll always be able to get in contact directly and it will be me who will be the photographer at your wedding. I never take 2 jobs on the same day and I limit my summer weddings to a certain number.

The Complete Edit

For Ibiza Wedding Photography lasting around 8 hours you can expect to receive 600-700 edited images. This means I have given each photo correction and enhancement which suits my existing style. The final choice of edited images is mine and they will be the photos which show each moment at its best. All will be available to you in original large format free from watermarks.

Online Galleries

I offer all my couples 2 online galleries within 30 days of your wedding. These are both completely open and can be freely shared and downloaded. 1 gallery contains your ‘high res’ images. These are the ones you will use for printing or enlarging. The second gallery is a ‘low res’ version. This one is perfect for sharing via Whatsapp or uploading to your social media.

I also provide a ‘quick edit’ which totals around 20 photos. This is available within 3 days of the wedding and is sized ready to be shared and used for your socials.

No Extra Charges (should things run over)

Most Ibiza Photographer packages will be based on time, but what happens if things run over? I have known some photographers to charge for more time on the spot, an extra hour or part of, but I don’t like to do this. Your wedding shouldn’t make you feel rushed, you shouldn’t have to run over and cut the cake so as to get the first dance covered in your photography! So I don’t charge for run overs. If your day goes over by up to an hour that’s included in your original price.

Elixir Ibiza Wedding Interview with Chelsea & Mike

Chelsea & Mike waited more than long enough for their Ibiza wedding! I first spoke to Chelsea about booking their photography way back in July 2019. August 2020 was the original date and we’d all hoped so much it would happen. Chelsea and Mike held on through it all but Covid had other plans and they eventually had to postpone. It was a sad moment for all of us. We felt at the time that we’d never get back to normal or see any of our couples get their dream weddings.

But Chelsea and Mike held on, and they finally got their Elixir wedding on Aug 31st! I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happier bride. Literally everyone and everything beamed that day. One of the nicest things I think I’ll remember is Chelsea just saying over and over again, “I’m just so happy” and she was. Everyone was. It made us all realise how important these moments are, not just for couples who can finally have their weddings, but for all of us. That sunny day was something very special indeed. I felt honoured to have been a part of it. 

How did you find Elixir Ibiza and what made you choose it? 

We always knew we wanted to get married in Ibiza and it was a dream of ours from when we first met. We were looking at beach venues and stumbled across Elixir. Once we saw it we couldn’t stop thinking of it and nothing else could compare. When Covid hit so many people suggested we should get married in the UK but we knew we could never imagine getting married anywhere but Elixir and we’re so happy we held out for our happily ever after. 

* How did you stay positive throughout the wait for your day? 

We have to say the venue and our wonderful suppliers made this so easy- everyone was so positive, uplifting and kind, we all got through it together. We knew in the end love would conquer all and it did and it was worth the wait. 

* Describe the day and how it felt to finally have your wedding 

It felt so special to finally be in our favourite place with our closest friends and family, especially after the pandemic and the time apart from everyone. It was so perfect and we will cherish each moment forever. 

* A brief review of the venue

Elixir is the most stunning location with the perfect backdrop of sea and mountains. That view is breathtaking. Our guests just couldn’t get over it. The staff really made it for us. They were incredible and couldn’t do enough. People told us it was the best wedding people had ever been to and we have to agree. Nothing can compare! 

* A few words about your photographer 🙂 

Anne was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Her kindness and positivity was clear every step of the way on the journey to the wedding day. It was easy to choose Anne as our photographer. As soon as I saw her photos, I fell in love with her style and the natural shots. She captured the most special moments and every time we look at the photos (daily haha) we relive those moments again. The day goes so quickly and it’s so important to have those fleeting moments captured forever. On the day Anne felt like she was part of the wedding party. She put us instantly at ease and directed us to get the best shots. We’re also so happy that Anne suggested Nigel from Tiny Films as our videographer – they were the dream team.

Ibiza Family Photos – The best places on the island for amazing photography.

Ibiza is great for families!

Family holidays may not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Ibiza, associated as it is for so long with parties and clubbing. The amazing parties will still happen, but family tourism is fast becoming Ibiza’s biggest market. Our family visitors are often seasoned hands who were once here as teenaged clubbers. People who came so many times that now they have their own children, they just have to introduce them to its magic. Or there are the first timers, a little nervous maybe, wondering what Ibiza is really all about. Either way, no matter who you are, once you’ve been here you’ll know that Ibiza is for everyone and everyone ends up loving Ibiza!

If you know Ibiza then chances are you already know (and love) Cala Conta. Needing no introduction this beautiful cove & sunset mecca is the sandy jewel in Ibiza’s crown. The beautiful beach and impossibly turquoise waters are amongst the best in the world.
Early morning ferry boats glide into the tiny harbour throughout the day from San Antonio which is by far the best way to arrive. Residents and and repeat visitors will all tell you that Cala Conta can not be missed, and I can definitely confirm it’s one of the most gorgeous places for family photos.

It’s easy to get to and has plenty to stay for. Port des Torrent beach is a great day out for families staying in San An Bay. I love this pretty cove for photography, especially with families. The sea is a gorgeous turquoise, the beach a perfect backdrop and the pine clad rocks to the side of the provide a great shady spot for portraits and group shots.
Did I mention the sunset? Swerve those crowds found in other places and take a short stroll along the coastline for uninterrupted views.

The only place on the list that’s not a beach, pretty Santa Agnes can be found just a short drive out of San Antonio and makes for the perfect day trip. The village itself is teeny tiny sporting only a church and a couple of bars. One of these bars however, (Bar Cosmi) just happens to serve up one of best Spanish tortillas ever, so make sure you’re here for lunch!
This is the home of some of Ibiza’s most accesible and beautiful countryside, the perfect combination for great family photos. A small road winds around the local area and provides endless photo opportunities. There are lovely examples of traditional white washed houses, small farms, hundreds of almond trees and amazing views around every curve.

Benirras Beach is right up there with Cala Conta for amazing sunsets. It’s a little further away located in the San Miguel area and is a lovely drive if you have hired a car. If you don’t fancy this don’t worry, it also makes a great boat trip from San Antonio.
This beach has become famous for the Sunday hippy drumming sessions but also includes a cute little artisan market and some excellent restaurants. Personally I love this area for family photos and small ceremonies and the sunset never disappoints!

No Ibiza list is complete without Cala D’hort. It’s one of those places that you have to visit and never forget. Thanks to the spectacular scenery and Es Vedra looming large in the foreground, this is an amazing place for photography all year round.
The beach has a great mix of soft sand and rocky outcrops, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Whilst off to both sides are fisherman’s huts, pretty piers and endless corners for cute photos. Personally my summer would not be complete without doing at least one shoot here!
