Ibiza is the best place for an unforgettable day. It’s a privilege to work here as a wedding photographer doing what I love. I have lots of couples ask me which are my favourite Ibiza wedding venues. There are just so many! And so many are amazing. So these are my personal favourites… not only for their combination of great service and lovely food but they also guarantee fantastic wedding photography!

The Venues:

Elixir Ibiza, Cala Codolar

Where: Close to the sunset beaches of Cala Conta on Ibiza’s west coast. Elixir is tucked away along a winding track and enjoys its own beach and cove.
Why: One of Ibiza’s only dedicated & exclusive wedding venues, Elixir offers impecable, friendly customer service and has stunning views of the Med and of Es Vedra. This venue is run so smoothly you’ll feel like you’ll never want the day to end! Take a look at their 5* Google Reviews to get more of an insight into why this Ibiza Wedding Venue is so popular.

Can Gall.

Where: a 30-minute drive from Ibiza Airport, making it a convenient choice for you and your guests. Its central location means you’re always within easy reach of Ibiza’s stunning beaches and lively towns—yet the venue itself feels like a peaceful retreat, far from the island’s hustle and bustle.
Why: Here we have authentic charm, a private setting, and a friendly dedicated in-house team all poised to make your wedding perfect. It’s a venue that offers both romance and relaxation, making your whole island experience truly unforgettable.

Cas Mila Ibiza

Where: Perched high above Cala Tarida Beach on Ibiza’s West Coast. Cas Mila is approx 20 mins drive from the hotels of San Antonio Bay and around 40-45 minutes from Playa den Bossa.
Why: Cas Mila has sweeping sea views with gorgeous sunsets and an amazing staircase for the best bridal arrival on the island! This venue isn’t exclusive but has worked hard to provide private areas for all parts of the wedding day, the new rooftop terrace is perfect for the wedding meal and is a great addition to this venue.

Atzaro & Atzaro Beach

Where: Atzaro Agroturismo Hotel is located in the Ibiza Countryside close to San Carlos. Atzaro Beach can be found on Cala Nova Beach in Es Cana.
Why: Atzaro and Atzaro Beach are both beautiful Ibiza Wedding Venues and all the events are run by a very professional team of planners. Atzaro is a hidden gem perfect for lovers of the Ibiza heartland. Ceremonies are held in the pretty garden area or by the stunning pool which is set in its own orange grove. The rest of the day is spent in the grounds of the hotel which are simply beautiful.

Atzaro Beach is set right on Cala Nova Beach and combines rustic charm with a modern feeling. This venue is a touch more laid back than Atzaro but the standard of service is still 5*

Hacienda Na Xamena. San Miguel.

Where: Near San Miguel, set on tumbling cliffs impossibly high above the sea.
Why: Weddings at the Hacienda are simply amazing. Ceremonies take place in their own amphitheatre with uninterrupted sea views. Your guests will probably be speechless for a good part of the day after they first see this. It really is incredible. Weddings here are exclusive and luxurious with each part of the day assigned to a special private part of the hotel. Stunning views come as standard throughout!

My favourite Ibiza Weddings…

Are you dreaming of an Ibiza Wedding? Then imagine no more. It’s a great idea and totally what you should do! 

Ibiza weddings have been hot stuff for over 10 years now and with good reason. Far from being the mass market mayhem you’ll find in the Caribbean & other places Ibiza can offer a highly personalised and one-off experience. One you’ll be reminiscing about forever. Probably much to the annoyance of family and friends! But who cares?! 

As you’ve already found your way to my site (thank you for visiting!) you’ll know that I’m Anne Walker – Ibiza Photography. So introducing myself quickly. I’m a long time Ibiza resident and wedding/family photographer. Originally from London I now have over 10 years wedding experience. In all this time I’ve discovered 2 important things… That Ibiza is never a mistake, and that every Ibiza wedding is highly individual & loved by all. My favourite thing to hear from guests is that they would never have usually come to “somewhere like Ibiza” but have now changed their minds and have fallen in love with the Island. 

So what makes an Ibiza Wedding so special? Here are my personal 8 best reasons…

1. Ibiza has a firm foot in the destination wedding market but has managed to retain a very exclusive feel.
2. With hundreds of beaches and countryside spots to choose from, your wedding is guaranteed to be amazing and your photos fabulous!
3. Ibiza has attracted a large and professional bunch of dedicated wedding suppliers. You’re in safe hands with these guys
4. There really is something for everyone. Far from being just a party island as portrayed in the media, Ibiza is a firm favourite with families and chilled couples looking for a beautiful place to get married.
5. Proximity to the UK. It only takes 2-3 hours to get here, depending on where you fly from. That compared to the Canaries or Greece can really make a difference, especially if there are young kiddies involved!
6. The weather. An Ibiza summer is just that, wall to wall sunshine and blue skies. It does rain, but I can count on one hand the ceremonies which I’ve had affected by the weather… and that’s in 12 years!
7. The people! This island is very special and a big reason for that are the people it attracts. Couples (and their guests) love the personal attention and unique experiences they get from their wedding suppliers. Each day is so special to us and we hope it shows
8. That sunset… if you choose a west coast venue then you’ll be treated to one of the best sunsets in the world. Couple that with those amazing beaches and you’ve got some great photos waiting for you!

The Ibiza Wedding Planners.

This week. Lucy Dyer – Mambo Weddings & Events.

Ibiza is understandably one of the best & most popular places in the world to have your destination wedding. So with all these ceremonies going on it’s easy to wonder just where should you turn for the best advice. I’ve been a wedding photographer on the island for many years now so have met a fair few planners. I wanted to know how things work for them, what’s the process when you’re trying to plan a wedding abroad and just how do they make sure it all runs perfectly?
I caught up with Lucy Dyer, Mambo Wedding & Events Coordinator who gave me an great insight into her very busy world…

• When and why did you first come to Ibiza?

I came on holiday 22 years ago and never really went home. I’d found myself working in a beach bar in Marbella and didn’t really like it but a friend of mine who had worked in Ibiza previously had given me a contact number for a job so I called them and hopped on a plane. They put me up for my first night and by the second day I had a job and an apartment… it was so easy it was clearly meant to be.

• What was your first job?

When I first came to Ibiza I had 2 jobs. I worked in a pizza restaurant in the day time and worked in a Bar at night selling a football card. In those days the worker culture was very different, everyone pulled together and it was like one large family.

• How did you get into wedding planning?

I’d been on the island for 10 years and run various events, boat parties etc when the owner of the company I was (and still am) currently working for approached me with the  details of our first wedding couple. They had asked to get married at El Chiringuito in Cala Gracioneta and asked me if I wanted to help them arrange things.

• What venues do you plan weddings for?

I work for the Mambo group who have 6 wedding venues in their company

I also offer an external wedding planning option so it means I plan weddings all over Ibiza really.

• What’s your planning process? And how do you work with couples to ensure a stress free Ibiza Wedding?

Once a couple has booked me for their wedding I send them through a timeline PDF. This suggests all the things they need to think about in the months running up to their wedding. It also gives them a loose structure for the planning process so they are not in the dark about what they should be thinking about and when.

I’m always looking to maintain a personal approach so I work with each couple through email, skype and whatsapp. I believe communication is key to ensuring the least stress possible. We will also have at least 2 meetings before the wedding week.

Once the couple are here for the final wedding week we have a rehearsal 1 or 2 days before with key members of the bridal party. I believe that this also helps alleviate the stress as its not only the couple that are nervous for the big day.

Finally I believe that a sense of humour goes a long way. I’m not a militant wedding planner! I prefer instead to have a relaxed and easy going attitude with the whole wedding party… it’s like being an air steward, if they seem nervous then that makes you nervous and with 11 years wedding planning experience in Ibiza there’s rarely a problem that can’t be fixed.

• Your top tips for a calm bride

Delegate anything that you can to your bridesmaids or wedding planner in the run up to your wedding.

Plan for time away from your guests to try and relax before the wedding

Don’t get sunburnt!

• What are this summer’s favourite colours/decor choices so far?

This summer has seen a move away from Boho into a more tropical theme , Retro colours such as Golds and Corals and tropical influences with décor such as Palms and Succulents

• What’s the most unusual request you’ve received?

Hahah lots, too many to mention… anything from painting the venue floor a different colour to  having the groom arrive by parachute  (I’ve actually been asked that twice!)

• Finally your favourite Ibiza, beach, restaurant, place to wind down.

I Love San Juan on a Sunday Market day and Benirras beach in the Winter…. but don’t tell everyone !
