Can we have our entire wedding day at Elixir – from ceremony to dinner and dancing?

Absolutely. Elixir is a full-service venue that allows you to host your ceremony, drinks reception, dinner, and evening party all in one place. Everything flows beautifully from one part of the day to the next, and the team is brilliant at making sure the whole day feels seamless and relaxed.

What are the views like, and will we get a good sunset?

The views are what couples love the most! Elixir overlooks a quiet cove just beyond Cala Conta, offering uninterrupted sea views and a magical angle on the famous Ibiza sunset. And yes — the ceremony terrace has that iconic view of Es Vedrà. It’s pretty unforgettable.

How easy is it for guests to get to the venue?

It feels secluded but it’s very accessible. Elixir feels hidden and peaceful, but it’s easy to reach by car or minibus. Most couples arrange transport for their guests, and the venue is well set up for that, there are no long walks or tricky roads involved.

Are there places to stay somewhere nearby?

Yes – loads! While Elixir itself doesn’t offer accommodation, there are plenty of great options nearby, from boutique hotels and villa rentals to family hotels in San Antonio Bay which is only a 15 minute drive. Your guests will have a great range of choices to suit different styles and budgets.

Yes, I have, lots! And it’s one of my favourite venues. I know all the best spots for photos and how the light shifts throughout the day. I’ve also worked closely with the team there for many years, which helps everything flow really smoothly behind the scenes.

Can you help with planning the timeline for photos?

Yes – and it’s one of the things couples tell me they appreciate most. I’ll guide you through when to do group photos, couple portraits, and sunset shots without disrupting the fun. My goal is always to make space for gorgeous moments without turning your wedding into a photo shoot.

What’s your photography style?

Natural, relaxed, and a little bit romantic. I mix candid storytelling with a few gentle poses to give you a beautiful record of your day — full of real moments, laughter, happy tears, and all the love around you. Nothing too stiff, nothing too staged.

We’re a bit camera shy – will that be a problem?

Not at all. Most of my couples say this, and then end up loving the process. I give just enough direction to help you feel confident without making anything awkward. By the end of the day, you’ll forget the camera’s even there.

Why: One of Ibiza’s only dedicated & exclusive wedding venues, Elixir offers impecable, friendly customer service and has stunning views of the Med and of Es Vedra. Can Gall.

Where: a 30-minute drive from Ibiza Airport, making it a convenient choice for you and your guests. Its central location means you’re always within easy reach of Ibiza’s stunning beaches and lively towns—yet the venue itself feels like a peaceful retreat, far from the island’s hustle and bustle.
Why: Here we have authentic charm, a private setting, and a friendly dedicated in-house team all poised to make your wedding perfect. It’s a venue that offers both romance and relaxation, making your whole island experience truly unforgettable.

Cas Mila Ibiza

Where: Perched high above Cala Tarida Beach on Ibiza’s West Coast. Cas Mila is approx 20 mins drive from the hotels of San Antonio Bay and around 40-45 minutes from Playa den Bossa.
Why: Cas Mila has sweeping sea views with gorgeous sunsets and an amazing staircase for the best bridal arrival on the island! This venue isn’t exclusive but has worked hard to provide private areas for all parts of the wedding day, the new rooftop terrace is perfect for the wedding meal and is a great addition to this venue.

Atzaro & Atzaro Beach

Where: Atzaro Agroturismo Hotel is located in the Ibiza Countryside close to San Carlos. Atzaro Beach can be found on Cala Nova Beach in Es Cana.
Why: Atzaro and Atzaro Beach are both beautiful Ibiza Wedding Venues and all the events are run by a very professional team of planners. Atzaro is a hidden gem perfect for lovers of the Ibiza heartland. Ceremonies are held in the pretty garden area or by the stunning pool which is set in its own orange grove. The rest of the day is spent in the grounds of the hotel which are simply beautiful.

Atzaro Beach is set right on Cala Nova Beach and combines rustic charm with a modern feeling. This venue is a touch more laid back than Atzaro but the standard of service is still 5*

Hacienda Na Xamena. San Miguel.

Where: Near San Miguel, set on tumbling cliffs impossibly high above the sea.
Why: Weddings at the Hacienda are simply amazing. Ceremonies take place in their own amphitheatre with uninterrupted sea views. Your guests will probably be speechless for a good part of the day after they first see this. It really is incredible. Weddings here are exclusive and luxurious with each part of the day assigned to a special private part of the hotel. Stunning views come as standard throughout!

I had been to a wedding at Elixir 3 years earlier as a guest and I said to my best friend “if ash ever asks me to marry him, I’m getting married here”. It is the most perfect venue! 

The views, food and staff are second to none. Elixir was exactly as I remembered but even better if that’s even possible. 

How was the experience? Did your guests enjoy the venue?

It really was the best day of our lives. Everyone has said that there will never be another wedding like it.

Elixir Ibiza Wedding Interview with Chelsea & Mike

Chelsea & Mike waited more than long enough for their Ibiza wedding! I first spoke to Chelsea about booking their photography way back in July 2019. August 2020 was the original date and we’d all hoped so much it would happen. Chelsea and Mike held on through it all but Covid had other plans and they eventually had to postpone. It was a sad moment for all of us. We felt at the time that we’d never get back to normal or see any of our couples get their dream weddings.

But Chelsea and Mike held on, and they finally got their Elixir wedding on Aug 31st! I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever seen a happier bride. Literally everyone and everything beamed that day. One of the nicest things I think I’ll remember is Chelsea just saying over and over again, “I’m just so happy” and she was. Everyone was. It made us all realise how important these moments are, not just for couples who can finally have their weddings, but for all of us. That sunny day was something very special indeed. I felt honoured to have been a part of it. 

How did you find Elixir Ibiza and what made you choose it? 

We always knew we wanted to get married in Ibiza and it was a dream of ours from when we first met. We were looking at beach venues and stumbled across Elixir. Once we saw it we couldn’t stop thinking of it and nothing else could compare. When Covid hit so many people suggested we should get married in the UK but we knew we could never imagine getting married anywhere but Elixir and we’re so happy we held out for our happily ever after. 

* How did you stay positive throughout the wait for your day? 

We have to say the venue and our wonderful suppliers made this so easy- everyone was so positive, uplifting and kind, we all got through it together. We knew in the end love would conquer all and it did and it was worth the wait. 

* Describe the day and how it felt to finally have your wedding 

It felt so special to finally be in our favourite place with our closest friends and family, especially after the pandemic and the time apart from everyone. It was so perfect and we will cherish each moment forever. 

* A brief review of the venue

Elixir is the most stunning location with the perfect backdrop of sea and mountains. That view is breathtaking. Our guests just couldn’t get over it. The staff really made it for us. They were incredible and couldn’t do enough. People told us it was the best wedding people had ever been to and we have to agree. Nothing can compare! 

* A few words about your photographer 🙂 

Anne was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Her kindness and positivity was clear every step of the way on the journey to the wedding day. It was easy to choose Anne as our photographer. As soon as I saw her photos, I fell in love with her style and the natural shots. She captured the most special moments and every time we look at the photos (daily haha) we relive those moments again. The day goes so quickly and it’s so important to have those fleeting moments captured forever. On the day Anne felt like she was part of the wedding party. She put us instantly at ease and directed us to get the best shots. We’re also so happy that Anne suggested Nigel from Tiny Films as our videographer – they were the dream team.

We love everything about Ibiza but especially visiting the Old Town, Bambuku, Tapas Ibiza and Relish are incredible restaurants. We highly recommend Ibiza Boat Hire with Nick for the best sunset cruise around some beautiful spots.

Ibiza Wedding Venue Questions. The Things You Need to Know…

Firstly congratulations! If you’re reading this, then you’ve got engaged and you’re thinking of getting married in Ibiza. With that choice I already know you have impeccable taste!  One of the first things, if not the very first thing to book is your venue. This choice should reflect you and your personalities and also be amazing for your guests. So not much to ask then! Ibiza is bursting with beautiful wedding venues. Beaches, Clifftops, Gardens, Villas, there’s something for every couple. But how do you choose which one is best for you? And especially when you’re so far away? These are my top 10 things to bear in mind when making your choices, whether your’re here visiting in person or deciding online. No matter what type of wedding you’re dreaming of these are the things you must know…

The Ibiza Wedding Venue Questions to consider…

Location 

Not only does your Ibiza Wedding Venue need to wow you, but you also need to find it! From personal experience there are a fair amount of places which although amazing require lots of map work and sturdy vehicles to get to them. If you are visiting in person (which I recommend) then you should time how long it takes to arrive at each potential venue. Was it difficult to find? Remember your guests will not arrive prepared for a cross-country hike! 

Flexibility

Not surprising to see this one move up the list! It’s an essential that’s super important at the moment and going forward. Should you be unable, or indeed uncomfortable about travelling once your date comes around what policy does your venue have in place? It’s important to ask and have clear exactly how many times you can postpone, what the terms are regarding this, and how soon before the day you can do this. Will there be a fee or will you lose a deposit already paid. Ibiza’s most popular and professional venues will have no problem helping you with these queries.

Hygiene & Safety

We’re all very aware of new levels of cleanliness and hygiene and your Ibiza Wedding Venue is no exception. Important questions to ask are what protocols will be in place for guests on arrival, what can they expect and how will things play out during the day. A quick scan around should tell everything you need to know but there’s no harm asking and having things clear.

Transport Options

No matter how tempted you are to ‘just let everyone get taxis’, it’s never a good idea. Ibiza has a notoriously unreliable taxi system which can’t be pre-booked. This often results in late arrivals delaying the ceremony and a large number of people stranded at the end of the night. Not good. Therefore your Ibiza wedding venue needs to be accesible by coach or at least mini bus. All professional venues & planners will have excellent transport contacts and be able to easily arrange for you and your group to arrive and leave with zero hassle.

Accessibility

It’s likely you’ll have a mixture of families and older guests at your Ibiza Wedding. Will they be able to move easily around the venue? Is it safe? Whilst a cliff-side stunner might be your dream, would your guests with children feel the same?
Make sure you check where each part of the day will take place and how guests will move between each area. 

Ceremony Area

Where is this? Is there shade and will it be peaceful when your ceremony takes place? Some Ibiza Wedding Venues are next to big hotels which can get very lively of an evening. Your viewing might take place in the morning so you may miss how noisy things can get for your ceremony and reception. Be sure to ask about this.

My favourite Ibiza Weddings…

Are you dreaming of an Ibiza Wedding? Then imagine no more. It’s a great idea and totally what you should do! 

Ibiza weddings have been hot stuff for over 10 years now and with good reason. Far from being the mass market mayhem you’ll find in the Caribbean & other places Ibiza can offer a highly personalised and one-off experience. One you’ll be reminiscing about forever. Probably much to the annoyance of family and friends! But who cares?! 

As you’ve already found your way to my site (thank you for visiting!) you’ll know that I’m Anne Walker – Ibiza Photography. So introducing myself quickly. I’m a long time Ibiza resident and wedding/family photographer. Originally from London I now have over 10 years wedding experience. In all this time I’ve discovered 2 important things… That Ibiza is never a mistake, and that every Ibiza wedding is highly individual & loved by all. My favourite thing to hear from guests is that they would never have usually come to “somewhere like Ibiza” but have now changed their minds and have fallen in love with the Island. 

So what makes an Ibiza Wedding so special? Here are my personal 8 best reasons…

1. Ibiza has a firm foot in the destination wedding market but has managed to retain a very exclusive feel.
2. With hundreds of beaches and countryside spots to choose from, your wedding is guaranteed to be amazing and your photos fabulous!
3. Ibiza has attracted a large and professional bunch of dedicated wedding suppliers. You’re in safe hands with these guys
4. There really is something for everyone. Far from being just a party island as portrayed in the media, Ibiza is a firm favourite with families and chilled couples looking for a beautiful place to get married.
5. Proximity to the UK. It only takes 2-3 hours to get here, depending on where you fly from. That compared to the Canaries or Greece can really make a difference, especially if there are young kiddies involved!
6. The weather. An Ibiza summer is just that, wall to wall sunshine and blue skies. It does rain, but I can count on one hand the ceremonies which I’ve had affected by the weather… and that’s in 12 years!
7. The people! This island is very special and a big reason for that are the people it attracts. Couples (and their guests) love the personal attention and unique experiences they get from their wedding suppliers. Each day is so special to us and we hope it shows
8. That sunset… if you choose a west coast venue then you’ll be treated to one of the best sunsets in the world. Couple that with those amazing beaches and you’ve got some great photos waiting for you!

Destination Wedding at Elixir Ibiza

As part of my series of Real Ibiza Weddings this week I’m with Harry and Hollie who celebrated their perfect day in Elixir Ibiza. One of my favourite Wedding Venues Elixir looked amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better day for photos! 

But first we had the getting ready to do. Hollie was staying at the Migjorn Suites and Spa in Playa den Bossa  which is a lovely set of apartments built over various levels with their own roof terrace, ideal for those looking fabulous and almost ready shots! She had booked Smack Ibiza for hair and make up and as usual they blew everyone away with their skills. The girls looked AMAZING! 

Everyone was ready. Bags were packed, lip glosses were checked, flip flops for the beach photos were arranged and we were off. Hollie had chosen a very cool VW camper van for her arrival at Elixir which meant that she could travel with her mum and all her bridesmaids. 

One of the things I like best about this venue is their attention to every detail. Those moments before the ceremony are understandably stressful so it’s super important for everyone to not only know what they’re doing/where they’re going to walk/where they’re going to sit down, but to feel relaxed too. Mauricio and Anna are an amazing team when it comes to this! 

So with everyone placed and ready for the off it was time…

The ceremony was beautiful and was led by the very experienced Christine. Her style is relaxed and fun and within minutes she had everyone laughing and feeling completely at ease. The ceremony itself was around 30 minutes (perfect for the heat) and combined some lovely personal details as well as some unique to Ibiza rituals. The sand ceremony is something I think is one of the nicest moments and also makes for an everlasting momento that will certainly be treasured forever

Cold drinks were by this time everyone’s number 1 priority! So as the ceremony came to an end ice cold cava and delicious canapes were very gratefully received and everyone could then relax. Views could be enjoyed and congratulations given to the couple who by the way couldn’t have looked happier! 

We usually have around an hour and a half for the mixing and mingling which is perfect for the couple to get to talk to everyone and get organised for some group pictures. There was even time for some shots with the camper van which was a great bonus! 

Food is a big deal at Elixir and never disappoints. Every plate is delicious and you see there has been some very hard work going on behind the scenes to ensure everything was so perfect. 

As the sun began to set this was my time. After a quick make up & veil check we were off down the stairs and onto the beach. Cala Codolar is a beautiful little cove and rarely gets busy. There are no hotels in the vicinity and access isn’t easy which means lots of photo opportunities without the crowds you can get in other places. 

The sun sat perfectly for us and it was easy to see just how happy Hollie and Harry were to be married!

This has been Hollie and Harry’s real Ibiza wedding experience in my own words. I’m going to hand over to them now to tell their story…

First up how did you meet?
We met through a mutual friend and futher best 🙂 Man Liam in a bar in Southend. After several dates we finally decided to make it official at the London marathon of all places – although neither of us were (and could) run it! 

Was there a special proposal? 
Yes! Harry woke me up at 4.30am on the first day of our holiday in Mexico to go and watch the sunrise on the beach. He tells me that getting me out of bed was actually more challenging than the proposal itself! 

Why did you choose ibiza for your wedding? 
Harry has a long history of visits to the island and has aspirations of living there together full time. We call it his happy place. When we visit the island I can see how much Harry loves it and it makes me love him even more. Plus it is stunningly beautiful! 

Why did you choose Elixir Ibiza as your Wedding Venue? – Because it is simply a stunning venue. The little details are what makes it really special. 

What was your experience there?
AMAZING. Everything was perfect, the staff were absolutely amazing, especially Mauricio who was just incredible from start to finish. All people are talking about is how good the food was, not to mention the amazing views.

How was the wedding planning process? 
Planning a wedding is obviously stressful but Leah our wedding planner was great. She really helped us plan everything perfectly and took a lot of stress away for us. The website elixir use for us to choose things like food and decor is just so convenient and made everything simple. We knew whatever we chose it would be great!

A few words for your photographer 🙂
Anne was absolutely unreal. The pictures we have received are just amazing and she has a true talent for really capturing the moment. She also put up with the fact we were a tad disorganised given the size of the wedding party! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anne to anyone getting Married on the island. A really nice touch was when she made the effort to come to our hotel in Playa den Bossa to meet us face to face the day before. Thank you Anne for your incredible work.

Favourite place in Ibiza – Too tough to choose, but for Harry it has to be anywhere that gives a good view of Es Vedra (such as elixir!) 

Any Bars or restaurants you can recommend?
 Dunes in Playa den Bossa is a nice spot for an afternoon drink, it plays cool music and has a nice vibe. Cafe Mambo for sunset drinks (of course!) and a visit to Ibiza town is a must. We had a great dinner at S’antiga Barberia. Club wise, Glitterbox at HI! on Sundays is a must. Probably the happiest party I have ever set foot in and one I try to get back to every year!

Georgia & Shane’s Real Ibiza Wedding at Elixir.

As soon as I met Georgia & Shane I knew their wedding would be a great day. Both living in Bahrain they chose Ibiza as their favourite spot to bring family and friends to celebrate and where better than at Elixir?

The Getting Ready.

Georgia & Shane rented a beautiful villa close to Ibiza town. Unlike a lot of hotels I find myself in it had bags of room and loads of light. Perfect for all those bridesmaids, Mums and the odd happy baby. And bliss for this photographer! The dress by Suzanne Neville  and shoes by Badgley Mischka
were perfect for Georgia and totally suited her style.

The Wedding

In their own words I’ll let Georgia & Shane tell their wedding story…

How did you both meet? And how did Shane propose?
Shane and I met at university back in 2011. We met through mutual friends and then became inseparable once we were official! He proposed in Ibiza at Cotton Club at sunset. We had just ordered our food and he kept asking me to go and get a photo on the observation deck! I was annoyed because it was so hot and thought it would be rude to get up whilst our food was on its way! Once we were up there a lovely gentleman took a few pics and on the last one he got down on one knee! Luckily the guy filmed it for us too so its really lovely to have the video to look back on. I’m so glad I actually got up for it! haha.

Why did you choose Ibiza for your wedding?

We always knew we wanted to get married abroad somewhere warm and with amazing views etc. We automatically thought Ibiza as that’s where we were engaged and we absolutely love the island! Its also sort of a middle ground for all of our guests as they were coming from all over the world!

Why did you choose Elixir for your wedding? Would you recommend it to others?

I came across Elixir just through google searches for venues in Ibiza. I had also looked at other gorgeous Ibiza venues but as soon we we found Elixir I just instantly knew that was where I wanted to get married! There aren’t any words to describe how highly I would recommend it to others. The pictures do it absolutely no justice whatsoever… We hadn’t actually seen or visited the venue until our run-through so it was definitely a risk. The place is just absolutely breath taking. It was just perfect from start to finish in every aspect, including the staff who were all amazing!

Favourite moment of the day.
This is really hard because there are so many! Shane’s favourite moment was being introduced as Husband and Wife when walking to sit down to dinner. Mine I think was half way through our first dance. (which was also probably the most awkward part of the day!) Shane signalled everyone to come in and join us, and literally every single person joined in and we were all singing at the top of our voices. I really enjoyed that moment of having all of my nearest and dearest around me having such a good time.

Did your guests enjoy their visit to Ibiza?
Yes! Most of my friends (and me) cried when we had to leave! I just love Ibiza so much because there’s a lot of stigma around it. I don’t think people actually realise how beautiful the island is until you’ve actually been. Obviously you can go out and party too but there’s something for everyone which is what we love about it.

Favourite Beach/Restaurant

Again, another difficult question as there are so many amazing places to eat!
Shane’s favourite restaurant was a little quaint place in the Old Town called 1805. There were only a limited amount of dishes on the menu but they tried one of everything between their group and said that everything was incredible! There was one chef and one waitress for the entire place (granted it was a small place) but the service was top notch and the food was to die for!
My favourite I think would have to be Cotton Club as not only does it hold a special place in my heart, the food and views are spectacular! It’s a little on the pricier side but so so worth it! We went there again this time with family and they loved it too!
As for our favourite beach, we actually only visited one whilst we were there! It was Cala D’hort beach, not too busy and relatively small with a few restaurants- just what you need!

A short review of your photographer

Anne was one of the Photographers recommended to us by Leah our wedding planner, after looking at her work we decided to go with her and i’m so glad we did. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but is such a lovely person to work with too. We met with Anne a couple of days before the wedding and she totally put us at ease about everything.  She turned up on the day at the villa we were staying at and honestly we didn’t even know she was there! She’s such a professional at what she does and the photos have turned out so much better than we ever expected! I would 1000000% recommend Anne, you really won’t be disappointed!
