Villa Wedding in Ibiza. How to know if it’s right for your 2023 Wedding

Villa Wedding in Ibiza – Find out if it’s really for you…

villa wedding in ibizaCan you get married in a Villa in Ibiza? The answer is, yes of course! And you definitely should!

This is a Villa Wedding Ibiza post but I just have to make a quick aside here to say that no Ibiza wedding is ‘legal’ unless one of you is catholic or a resident of the island. Any ceremony conducted outside of a catholic church or away from the gaze of the local town hall will be symbolic. This is great news though! It means that you can have complete freedom over your Ibiza Wedding and particularly your ceremony.

Couples typically choose to have an Ibiza Villa Wedding because they want a free reign over their day. There’s also many stunning properties on the island which are perfect for an exclusive celebration.

But is it for you? Read on to find out…

Couples book an Ibiza Villa Wedding because:

  • They’re looking for complete privacy and exclusivity
  • They’d love to enjoy more than one day of celebrations. It’s also possible to arrange BBQs and pool parties on other days of the holiday with the owner’s permission.
  • They want complete control over how the day will look and feel. There’s lots more decor options and timetables can be a little more flexible than at a wedding venue.
  • They want a unique experience with friends and family

Where’s the Best Place to Start?

Ibiza is full of amazing villas, from rustic countryside farmhouses to sprawling modern purpose-built beauties by the sea. There’s something for everyone. The best place to start is with your favourite place on the island. Maybe you’re a San An sunset lover, or perhaps you prefer something hidden away in the North, whatever your preference it’s best to start with the area you like best.

Next, the guest list. This doesn’t have to be exact, but it’s good to have an idea of how big the day could get. Villa weddings are all catered, which means your final price will depend upon how many guests you end up inviting.

Once you’re decided on the locations you love and how big the wedding could be then it’s time to contact a planner. It might be tempting to try and organise the wedding yourself, but it’ll soon become a stressful experience without the help of an expert. Ibiza has many professional wedding planners who only work with the best and most reliable suppliers on the island. They will know after talking to you both who will be perfect for you and your day. It’s money well spent and will save you so much hassle in the long run. I’ve included a list of excellent planners at the end of this post.

In Conclusion…

A Villa Wedding in Ibiza isn’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for exclusivity amongst beautiful surroundings then it may just be for you. The day can be just as you like it and you won’t have to leave once the wedding has ended. Pre and post wedding meals & get togethers can also be arranged in the villa by your planner, meaning your Ibiza wedding can become a few days of perfect celebration with the people you love most.
